It’s no secret that Nina Dobrev and Public Morals star Austin Stowell have been hanging out together a lot these past few months. Not only have they been spotted packing on the PDA numerous times — this includes feeding each other sugar cookies at a New York Fashion Week party — but most recently, they also made their red carpet debut at the movie premiere for Bridge of Spies. The 26-year-old Vampire Diaries actress, whose indie film, The Final Girls, has earned rave reviews, showed up wearing a stunning red-and-black Versace dress to support her man in his critically acclaimed Steven Spielberg-directed project. Cute, right?

Well, it’s about to get a whole lot cuter, folks, because they just made their romance official. Yep, you read that correctly: Forget about updating their Facebook relationship statuses; tired of bottling up their true feelings, these two gorgeous lovebirds decided to profess their commitment to one another over twitter.

Here’s how it all went down:

Apparently, upon journeying over to his sweetheart’s account, Austin realized he wasn’t following her. Oh no, how awkward!

So they joked about it. They giggled and flirted. Heck, they even made good use of adorable winks and monkey emojis. And then, they followed each other on twitter and lived happily ever after — because the couple who hashtags together stays together. The end.
